Fragment #114 - New article

...One may wonder though what kind of power can attract all these people to here, to our beloved Glasgow. Is it money? Is it investment? Is it fame? I don't believe so. From all I've collected in my last months of research, I doubt you can find any more desinterested people than those who come to Glasgow in the first place. I'm not saying they are not coming to find a situation, that they don't expect to get a job, and own some money. What I am saying, is that these are not the primary reasons that made they come here.
They come because they believe in something beyond frontiers and cultural clashes. They come here, because they believe in hospitality, warmth, happiness. Music and tales. Traditions. Modernity as well. They come here because they believe in Scotland even more than the Scots do. They come here because they believe that being here, and being themselves, will make a difference.

I've read my article at least a dozen times. I made Steve, and Paul, and Emma, read it a couple of times too. I send it to all my contacts, the ones that I interviewed. I haven't sent it to Bob, yet. I want feed back first. I want the people I'm writing about to tell me if I'm wrong. If I got what's in their heart wrong. I want them to tell me if what I read in their eyes when they were talking of their new country, is wrong.
I want Amélie, the sweet French girl, to tell me if I got anywhere near what she actually feels inside. She seemed a bit lost at times, during the interview. I wonder if that's the way she's in everyday life. I wonder if that's the reason she's going to Dr McCourt for... But it's none of my business, anyway.
