Fragment #30 - Making peace

"Hey..."
"Hi, Charlie."
"You ok?"
"Yeah."
Silence.
"Listen, Steve, the reason I call..."
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry, ok?"
"Yeah, sure."
I bit my lower lip. That's not how I wanted it to be.
"Would you like to go out, sometime, tomorrow, why not?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Ok, I'll tell Camie, and Sasha..."
"Yeah, and your brother as well."
"Ok, I won't tell anybody. Just you and me. Beer game."
I hear him giggling. Bingo, I'm a genius.
"Come on, Charlie, you know you can't win at this game."
"Ok, but I can, if we combine it with karaoke..."
Silence.
"Ok, you got me. Karaoke and beer game, tomorrow night. The Horse Shoe bar. 8 o'clock, don't be late!"
He hangs up... See you tomorrow, Steve.
