“Ed... Ed? Are you listening to me?”
“No.”
“Are you still pissed off with me?”
“Yes.”
“But it happened ages ago...”
“It happened an hour ago.”
“Okay I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?”
“No.”
“I said I was sorry.”
“I know.”
“Now you're just being stupid!”
“No.”
“Why are you so angry about this? - Don't look at me like that! It wasn't my fault.”
“Yes, yes it was.”
“I even took you to casualty.”
“Thank you for your consideration Lynne.”
“I still don't see what the biggie is? Oh here's the doctor now”
“Mr Stevens?”
“Yes.”
“What happened to you?”
“Ask her.”
“I, er, kinda, accidentally nailed his foot to the floor with a nail gun.”
“What about his hand?”
“Yes Lynne, what about my hand?”
“Well I was startled by the gun going off so I dropped it... and it went off... and, and, and he was holding his leg, and he got his hand nailed to his leg. It wasn't my fault! I was only a little drunk!”
